Johnny Cashs bitre tårer

Bitter Tears hed Johnny Cashs tyvende album, der udkom i 1964. Albummet var et conceptalbum, helliget Amerikas oprindelige indbyggere, indianerne. Og i otte sange beskrev Cash indianernes skæbne i det moderne Amerika. Udgivelsen blev ikke uventet en lidt kontroversiel udgivelse i USA, og den blev heller ikke den største kommercielle succes for Cash.
Men nu 50 år efter har en række af amerikansk countrys og americanas fremmeste kunstnere taget pladen op igen og indspillet hele albummet under title Look again to the Wind: Johnny Cash’s Bitter Tears Revisited. Jeg tror gamle Johnny ville være beæret over denne gestus.
