Lily Allen topper…

Jeg har tidligere omtalt den engelske sangerinde Lily Allen, der – i mine ører – skiller sig ud fra den store mængde af tomgangs-mainsteam-pop. Noget af det, der får hende til at rage op over den boblende pophavregrød, er hendes tekster, der viser, at hun bag sit kønne ydre også har en hjerne, hun bruger til at tænke med. Lige nu ligger hun nr. 1 i England med sangen “The Fear” fra hendes andet album (“Its not me, it’s you”). Sangen er en slags anti-Madonna-Material-Girl-sang, hvor Allen på ironisk vis diskuterer sin frygt for, at verden er ved at blive et overfladisk tomt sted, hvor kun sponsorpenge betyder noget.

Videoen nedenfor er den “pæne”, “rene” version af sangen. Her synger hun ikke FUCKING FANTASTIC. Men det gør hun her. Den bornerte musikbranche og medierne har ikke ændret sig meget på det punkt… Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!
I det hele taget opfører og udtrykker Lily sig herligt politisk ukorrekt. Hun er åbenbart fløjtende ligeglad med, hvad medierne og borgerskabet mener. Her har Cheeky Lily fået The Mail til at løfte øjenbrynene på grund af et frisk outfit.
