Den perfekte rocksang findes nok ikke, men nogle sange kommer tæt på. Fx Go-Betweens “Here Comes The City” (fra Oceans Apart). En tekst, der er poetisk, og hvis poesi rammer pulsen i storbytemaet. Byens puls, kroppens puls. En melodi og et omkvæd, der fænger med ét og bliver hængende i øret længe efter (den har afløst Buddy Holly..). De ringlende guitarer, der er rockens umistelige varemærke. En stor sang.
