Nej, jeg kan godt lide sne. Og lige nu er sneen passeret hen over min by og har lagt et pænt lag over det hele. Men jeg kommer automatisk til at tænke på Jesse Winchesters første plade fra 1970, hvor han beklager sig over sneen. Snow hedder sangen, på en plade, der består af lutter vellykkede sange.

Mere Jimmy McCulloch – Stone the Crows

Vi skal ikke slippe Jimmy McCulloch uden lige at vende hans ophold i Stone the Crows. Ikke mindst, fordi jeg fandt ovenstående meget fine optagelse fra Beat-Club.
Efter tiden med Thunderclap Newman kom McCulloch i kontakt med den store kreds om John Mayall. Han spillede et par koncerter med Mayall og havde sit eget orkester Bent Frame, der blev omdøbt til Jimmy McCulloch Band. Og så kom Jimmy med i blues-rock-bandet Stone the Crows, idet han afløste guitaristen Lee Harvey, der døde på scenen af et uheld med det elektriske. Med i STone the Crows, der gik i opløsning i 1973, var også Englands svar på Janis Joplin, Maggie Bell. Efter opløsningen arbejdede Bell sammen med Rod Stewart på dennes gennembrudsplade Ever Picture Tells a Story – og Jimmy blev en del af Wings.
